Libra - February 2019
How are you, Libra?! February will be off to a busy start, as Mercury spends the first ten days of the month cramming your calendar with social events! This is a time for experiencing the lighter side of life, and you will be keen to converse with people who are entertaining and don’t take themselves too seriously. Discussions will tend to centre around leisure activities now; conversations about creative activities and events will also be more prevalent than usual. You need to be spending your leisure time on mentally stimulating activities so that you feel your mind is being fully exercised. Mercury generates a network of important aspects with other planetary bodies during the first week of the month, which will also push romantic interactions to the top of your focus list. In particular, influences from Lilith and Mars suggest an increase in confidence when approaching potential romantic partners, and a willingness to take the lead in moving casual love relationships up to a higher level of commitment.
Chiron finally reaches the end of his visit to your work zone this month, by the 19th he will have moved on and we won’t see him in this part of the Zodiac again for over forty years. The lessons you have learned from his presence in this part of your chart are that healing yourself, emotionally, physically and psychically, is just as important, if not more, as healing those around you. If you can’t function, the people who need you can’t function either! Neptune’s influence here is also supporting you in putting yourself first in your working environment; assisting others is your forte and makes you feel you are doing something worthwhile, but there will always be someone who takes advantage of your good nature if you don’t set those boundaries. Neptune’s connections with Pluto and Mercury here from the 17th to 27th are fabulous for dealing with work situations requiring intervention, compassion and creativity.
Saturn connects with Venus between the 13th and 23rd, a time for dealing with practical family matters, particularly those relating to old or very young family members. Your responsibilities and pressure to do the right thing could weigh heavily here for a while, and you may feel a little unsupported by others in your household. Venus and the Moon’s disruptive south node will also be conjunct in this area from the 24th into early March, causing domestic disputes. These could be connected to jealousy or old family rifts, and there are many karmic lessons to be learned. Recognisable patterns of behaviour linked to control, anger and resentment which have repeated over many arguments and situations, need to be addressed now; if the cycle is broken you can finally move forward to happier and healthier family relationships.
February’s new Moon on the 4th encourages you to enjoy life to the max, as weeks of attending to the demands of friends pushes you to reassess your priorities and spend some time listening to your own needs. The Moon in sextile with Jupiter here could send you an important new friend who will act as a mentor in encouraging you to explore your spontaneous, creative side. The full Moon of the 19th is a slightly more serious affair, highlighting a need for reflection and contemplation. Vitality levels could feel low, and you are likely to experience a powerful desire to spend some alone time, working on personal goals and enhancing psychic awareness. This isn’t the best of times for dealing with other people’s problems; you need to conserve as much energy as you can for yourself! Have a fabulous month!
