Hello Virgo! This month will be
something of a soul searching month for all of us, as we experience not just one
but two rather rare lunar events. We have two new Moons and two eclipses to keep
us busy! These eclipses have the effect of magnifying the effects of the events
we are planning, and urge us to look in more depth at whatever areas of our
lives they touch.
We start the month with a new Moon and solar
eclipse on the 1st in your house of private things. We are coming towards the
Sun’s return to your sign now at the end of the month, so the first three weeks
of August mark a time of reflection and preparation for the year ahead. You may
feel like getting away from the spotlight at this time, and any private plans
you make which are close to your heart will have added benefits for you in six
months or so. Venus is also in this part of your chart until the 6th and your
ruling planet Mercury also lingers till the 10th, bringing a personal, private
feel to thoughts too.
It will be necessary to attend to work
matters though, and you will find this a drag until around the 20th, as you will
be battling for these first few weeks of the month against confusion and
possibly even downright deception in a work matter. The full Moon of the 16th
could bring this to a head, this is also the time of the second eclipse of the
month, and signals the end of a work or health regime which you put into place
back in February. The eclipse which occurs at a full Moon is known as a lunar
eclipse, and it shows us what we are lacking or missing in our lives, and with
Neptune around too you may find yourself yearning for something different and
exciting. Don’t do anything drastic here, take some time out to assess your
goals so far, especially at work, as Neptune’s influence will wane after the
20th and you will see things more clearly.
Venus enters your sign on the 7th of August,
followed closely by Mercury on the 11th, and the Sun arrives on the 23rd, so as
the month moves on you will start to feel more confident and energetic, and from
the 23rd in particular will be ready for the year ahead with new ideas and
plans. The second new Moon of the month on the 30th also happens in Virgo, so
you really will be working out a personal plan for your future here. You may
also decide to change your appearance in some way or start a new fitness plan,
as you will be especially aware of the impression you give to others. Take care
not to go too far here though, Saturn is influencing things and he can be a hard
task master. Don’t be too harsh on yourself if you do feel it’s time to brush up
on your image.
Watch out also for the first half of the
month as partners may be springing some unwanted surprises on you and preventing
you from getting on with your tasks. Tempers could fray here so tread carefully.
The 10th to 19th and 26th to 30th also bring conflict with a domestic matter
which takes up some of your private time and again causes irritation. Things
will ease as Mars moves into your financial sector on the 20th, you will feel
less self-absorbed and irritable, and can instead turn your attention to
whipping your money matters into shape! Have a great
